Hope Church (Richfield, MN) has started a new program for volunteers called 50-50-50. It is being used to encourage volunteerism by folks transitioning from active parenting to empty nests, that is, a group of people usually in their fifties. 50-50-50 volunteers do NOT actually need to be in their fifties to participate, so feel free to join in however old you are.

The site is especially good for starting shared discussions, exchanging ideas for service, or even for posting a few pictures of 50-50-50 volunteers in action!

If you want to track your hours using a handy on-line tool, we have posted a shared spreadsheet. It does not require that you know how these things work, just click this link and adopt a page of the spreadsheet as your own by clicking one of the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet. It will allow you to Rename the tab with your own name. Then just fill in the dates and minutes that you worked. The math is done for you!
